‘Cluster of Skyscrapers’ – Hoxton

Hello world and welcome to my blog ! This blog is going to be full of pictures that I’ve taken, whether it was on an actual camera or on my iPhone. You can expect pictures like the one above (scenery), models and fashion.

The story behind this picture is quite simple really. I jumped off the train at Hoxton and saw what looked like a cluster of skyscrapers in the distance. Despite the extremely cold weather, I thought “why not take a picture?”. I felt that it was really cool that you could see a building as elegant as The Gherkin from an area that is considered to be urban.

My favourite thing to do is try out new makeup, so when I was sent these amazing products by SinmisBeautique I couldn’t wait to try them. My favourite thing about their makeup is that it’s all suitable for women of colour, it truly compliments every skin tone literally making you glow

Skincare routine

My logic is you need a clear base for perfect makeup, that’s why skincare is so important to me

I like to keep it as simple and natural as possible, and use products suited to my skin type. It’s so crucial that you are using products suitable for your skin, I’m sensitive/combination so I tend to steer clear of products directed towards really oily or trait dry skin of it will just mess up my whole balance

I love lush products, ‘angels on bare skin’ is the greatest of all time, no joke it leaves you with the smoothest of skin. A little of their products go a long way, I just simply use my no.7 cleansing brush to massage the product in. I use that along with cetaphil skin cleanser, I’m telling you that cleanser can remove the heaviest of make up.

Focusing on your goals

It’s always hard to stay on task when no one can clearly see your vision but you. No I’m not talking about ‘relationship goals’ or ‘boyfriend goal’ or whatever some people are screaming, I’m talking about taking in account the goals you have set for yourself in the future.

I have found it so much easier setting short term goals because you actually stuck to plan and staying true to what you say. Stay confident and don’t let others tell you how you should be doing something you clearly are passionate about, you will excel in your own time and pace because if you’re doing something your not happy about it will take so much longer to get done. Keeping busy is also anther way of staying focused and helps you from becoming lazy, when you’re on the move you’re more likely to just get things done rather than putting…

Dealing with anxiety ft.[ARTEFACT MAG]

I recently teamed up with Rachel Fineman and done a feature/interview with ARTEFACT magazine discussing.. some may say a more personal side of my life. I delved into my own personal struggles of dealing with my anxiety in order to try and reach people who may be dealing with the same issues, I included things I do to help calm my nerves and how I deal with it on a day to day basis.

Whether dealing with stress, depression or anxiety, there are always ways of breaking out of that zone and getting help.

There are always going to be people that may not understand the feelings you are having, but you could help them gain knowledge on anxiety by researching into it,  just so they understand where you’re coming from and how you feel.

I love art and every creative form used to express it so I thought I would make this short post on two of my favourite girls to try and inspire others. Recently I have been taking the time to try and discover new things, along with this came the interest of dabbling into art and photography. Putting time aside I’ve noticed amazing art on my Instagram feed page; ‘VisualsByAliyah’ who is able to capture a moment effortlessly and ‘JKGPhotography’ who applies her own artistic uniqueness to ever photograph. I love photography because each photo can make you feel a different emotion. Naturally captured art can take you on a journey from just looking at the photos.
